Really disappointed. sandwiches seemed like they had made earlier and been out for a while before being served to us, scones were definitely shop bought and crumbled just not impressed at all

Lovely place and sat in pretty garden to have Prodecco afternoon tea. Attentive staff and Prosecco chilled nicely. Sandwiches not terribly inspiring and could have been more. Scones warm and homemade, delicious! Cakes very dainty and fine for our needs but larger appetites may need more. Overall a nice experience.

Great location, great venue, great staff (Alex was our waiter). Only thing that could have been better was the quantity of sandwiches and quality of scones but a generous amount of tea and we did not leave hungry.

The staff were so lovely and professional, they did all they could to make it such a pleasant experience. I had bought two of the offers so three of us could afternoon tea together and we all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

The food was lovely and well presented but the servings were smaller than many afternoon teas I have had in the past.

We were the only diners in the strange basement area, told that the main area was being used for an event. The food, tea, and prosecco was great, just a bit of a strange experience to take afternoon tea on our own!

Afternoon tea was at the Academy Town House Hotel was really bad! Sandwiches were poor....6 fingers. The little cakes looked like they'd been left out all day as did the sandwiches both looked unappetising. However, the scones were good and warm and the tea was hot. As it was a bit chilly outside we decided not to have tea in the garden. The dining room we had tea in was downstairs stark and lifeless. It was like a prison visitors room. No atmosphere at all. My friend and I were the only people down there. Once the waiter put the tea and cakes on the table that was last week saw of him. We were there for about 1.5 hrs and in that time no one came to ask if everything was ok or if we needed a top up of tea. No one saw us leave we. Appalling service. Well there wasn't any! I wouldn't recommend anyone to have afternoon tea here. It was pitiful and very disappointing.
