Betternest is a housing renovation company run by experts in the housing sector. The business runs on a 3 stage development policy that guarantees to provide results on time and within budget. It was founded in 2007 by Simon Smith, the son of a builder who went on to study at the Architectural Association School of Architecture (AA) in London. He started this company for two main reasons, firstly the fact that renovation is a risky business for investors as they are always at least expecting to encounter a bad experience. Most customers face complete uncertainty within a project from start to finish and much of the time have no idea of the project length, how much it will cost or who will actually do it. This can often mean that the project will cause a lot of heartache for whoever pays the bill. His second reason was the parameters of planning permissions and the fact that there were areas of these regimes that could be redefined. Betternest are different to other building firms as they give customers the answers they desire before the projects starts. When many people begin a renovation project, they often don't find out the critical information on certain elements until its too late to turn back. They inform customers exactly what they can do to their homes without planning permission from the local authority and will then offer advice on prices and other aspects. They also offer advice on renovations that will require permission, and offer all necessary advice surrounding this path too.
