Greenwich Community College caters for students of all ages and offers a wide range of courses and apprenticeship programmes. Training programmes are available for specific companies and apprenticeship courses range from business administration and electrical installation to catering and child care. The college is situated in one of the London boroughs and is approximately 20 minutes from the centre of the city. This is well suited to residents that live in and around the surrounding areas. The course also offers funding programmes where an individual may start a course and pay for the fees at a later date. The government is also introducing loans for students that are aged 24 and over and who study for courses that are above a level three. Greenwich Community College is designed to offer a wide range of courses with price plans to meet the needs of all individuals. The courses range from beauty and hair treatment to business and catering. The college also offers full training courses for individuals that are starting a job where specific job techniques are required. The college has helped to train individuals for clients such as the O2 Arena and Charlton Football Club. Other popular courses include the apprenticeship programme. This trains the individual and presents them with a certificate that is widely recognised by employers and industries. These courses are popular as they offer an hourly wage to the individual and can last from one to four years in length.
