Slightly run down but excellent service too much to eat
The owner was reluctant to serve us at first although I had booked as directed by Groupon. He said he had had a lot of trouble and didn't want any more customers through them. Once he said we could have the tea the food was very good, but it was quite upsetting to begin with.
Terrible service. Only one choice of sandwich, scones and cakes were not fresh. They seemed not to know how to deal with Groupon customers. Very disappointed.
When we first got there a young girl didn’t even know of booking asked me for my code which I did not have because put it into group on to enable me to do booking. Then a lovely lady who provided an excellent service and couldn’t do enough for us took over we had to wait a while for them to make everything. Food in tea rooms looked lovely however wouldn’t recommend it for an afternoon tea.
Despite having a booking for a set time, when we turned up we were told there would be a 45 min wait. There was also no prosecco despite having already paid for it... instead we were offered red wine (which had been kept in the fridge!). Only on choice of sandwich rather than a selection of flavours (so instead we swapped among ourselves) and no cream for the scones!! A hilarious experience all in all definatly do NOT go.
Worst afternoon tea it is not actually afternoon tea just one sandwich one cake and tea no selection like any normal place.
they did not agree to replace the tea for coffee like any other place. Stay away from it waist of time and money.
Had to wait for service for ages. Good wasn’t good.
really friendly place, great service and loads of food!
The scones was good but the cakes was stale. The venue, plates and toilets was dirty.
