Named after a famous Turkish city, this restaurant provides a similar style of cuisine to that which has been served in Ottoman palaces for centuries. Blending only the highest quality ingredients with cooking methods that have been passed down through the ages, their goal is to give all customers a dining experience they will cherish. The menu's in this restaurant change on a regular basis, making sure no two nights here will be the same. Iznik has been given multiple awards in the past such as the Time Out London Eating & Drinking Awards in 2003. Also in 2003, they were nominated the Vegetarian Society award and in 2004, they were nominated for even more restaurant awards. Founded in 1989 this restaurant provides excellent food combined with beautiful tiled surroundings and a first class waitress service. This restaurant has been subject to terrific reviews from many well respected newspapers and magazines. The Guardian described it as 'the best all round Turkish restaurant' and it has been given high levels of feedback from the Times and GQ magazine too. The menus at this great restaurant are one of the main reasons for this great feedback, as there is literally a dish for everyone, each providing a completely different experience. A range of soups, such as lentil soup, are available on the starters list as well as various types of borek and kalamar. There are many vegetarian options, and a variety of meat and seafood dishes. This restaurant also serves a desert tray as well as a fine selection of red and white wines. Iznik is open every day of the week.
