Jimmys Supper Club is a restaurant based in Stratford, London. Jimmys is housed in a spacious 1,800 square foot warehouse just opposite the London 2012 Olympics venue. The restaurant was initially just intended as a pop up venue to provide fine dining cuisine to visitors of the Olympic Venues. However, Jimmys was so successful that it re-opened for the Paralympic Games later in the year. Jimmys provides an array of entertainment beyond merely providing an evening meal, incorporating an art gallery within it. It also runs a beer tasting and food matching event in the evenings hosted by an experienced and qualified sommelier. Jimmys also hosts film screenings and live music on weekend evenings as well. Jimmys Supper Club sold out during most of the nights it was open during the Olympics, testament to its food. Jimmys is designed to offer its diners a fine and enjoyable experience beyond merely providing a meal. Between courses it frequently runs quirky events ranging from egg and spoon races to blind tasting with bar tabs on offer to the winner. Jimmys core ethos is to provide themed four and five course meals. The head chef Jimmy Garcia creates menus incorporating cuisine from around the world, including Jamaica, Greece and Britain. Garcia has a particular passion for fresh British produce cooking dishes such as smoked duck breast with cherry and mushroom, bread and butter pudding with whisky jus and sautéed cabbage.
