We had he 5 course tasting menu and arrived around 7pm on Saturday night. The restaurant was very white and pleasant but there was hardly anyone in. It started well with a beetroot pasta and cream cheese filling delicious. There was another pasta dish which was nice but a little too heavy on the salt and the pasta felt a little heavy. Mains was a blackened pork, there were 4 of us and each piece of pork was cooked differently from medium well to very rare. The pork was tastless and tough The smoked mash was ok but a bit heavy on the smoke which overpowered the dish. Two desserts, first a bit of charred pineapple with the smallest amount of ice cream and then a tiramisu which I have to be honest I have had better from a supermarket, too much coffee and we could not taste the alcohol. The restaurant were apologetic about the pork and discounted the cost of the service. Drinks expensive, food at best average. It was OK but I would not rush back. Also bread basket for 4 menial, we had 1 of each type of bread between 4 !! Nothing new so I would not class this as a tasting menu apart from the beetroot pasta which a bowl of this rather than 1 and we would have all been very happy.
