London African Drumming is a non-profit, open djembe drumming circle for beginners and improvers in the East End, offering fun experiences while learning traditional west African rhythms. The school was founded by Susie Goode, aiming to promote community spirit and wellbeing through the creative process of group rhythm.
Intimate atmosphere, you can really release and let go. Happy joyous vibes, as the say. Brilliant addition of optional traditional dance expression. Zero pressure or embarrassment, and it's great to drum along to dancing. Wonderful teacher and great facilitator. Good to have a beer on the side. Bit of a white middle class activity, but maybe that was just the day on which we went. I'd recommend to all.
