Norbury Park Lawn Tennis Club offers coaching for all of the family. Children as young as 3 can start to develop co-ordination, balance and ball techniques with the tiny tots programme. They then progress through the mini reds, mini orange and mini green schemes to the academy squad, aimed at children aged 11 and over. The coaching programmes for younger children use smaller rackets, softer balls and smaller courts, to allow techniques to be developed before progressing to normal tennis equipment. For adults there is group coaching for both beginner and intermediate levels. The club coach is also available for individual tennis lessons. For those that just want to play tennis, the club operates a pay and play policy. Norbury Park Lawn Tennis Club offers a weekly 1 hour cardio tennis class. The class is aimed at those people who want to combine tennis and a calorie burning cardiovascular workout. The class is on offer to all of the community and is a good way to get a complete body workout. Local children who are not members can take part in the after school tennis club. The rusty rackets training sessions, available to adult non members, allow players who may not have played for some time to brush up on technique and match play tactics. The club also arranges social events on a regular basis, with a themed night on the last Friday in every month.
