Fantastic day! Lovely instructor who really encouraged my own style whilst advising on improving my technique. Really enjoyed it, easy to go on your own since people are generally like-minded and friendly.

I am from Australia visiting family and I totally enjoyed the experience. Great for beginners (like myself) who has always wanted to learn to sketch. Great presenter who gave great tips and delivered a very practical course. Loved it, and would recommend the course to beginners or those wanting to improve their drawing skills. Julie

Excellent teacher, who gave us good, clear instructions and helped students individually. I (along with several others in the class) was pleasantly surprised with what we were able to produce at the end of the day. A very enjoyable session.

Unfortunately I was really disappointed with this deal. I feel it was very over priced for what I received. The event took place at the V&A which is free entry to the public. I was lucky to be given an appropriate stool but not everyone else was as fortunate, some has the same stool, some had what must have been a kids stool and one person had none! The materials offered to me was (by the looks of it) one pre-used HB pencil will a rubber topper. With 11 of us in the class and only one tutor there was very little time spent with each of us, I spent all of 10 minutes max with her for the morning portion (10.15am until 1.15pm). After a 30+ mins tips tutorial we were tasked with sketching one of 3 sculptures. I didn't find any of the sculptures particularly inspiring plus for complete novices it seemed odd to do one 2 hour sketch to start with rather than some quick sketches which were planned in for after lunch along with another long sketch. I have attended a couple of other sketching classes previously (not related to this company) and they started with short sketches to get people warmed up. I found it quite boring to be honest and decided to make an excuse to the tutor and leave at lunch rather than come back (having heard the plan for the afternoon I felt it would be more inspiring to walk around the museum instead). I spoke to one lady who I had chatted earlier that morning and told her I was leaving early. She said she also wasn't enjoying it so also made an excuse to the tutor that she might not come back after lunch. I think at least 2 others didn't look like they were enjoying the session either but having left at lunch I don't know if anyone else chose not to attend the afternon sesson. The tutor was lovely but knowing we were all novices I think she should have gotten us quick sketching and moving around different artefacts first. Price wise I cannot see how they can justify the £49 selling price with an original price of £110, I really feel this deal was not appropriately priced so I definitely would not recommend it unfortunately.

I was rather apprehensive about doing this one day drawing course on my own at first, because it had been a long time since I had done any drawing on its own, ie pencil and pad! I was so thrilled that I had signed up though, what an amazing day! There were 13 of us, a mix of young and older students who just wanted to learn about drawing. We were a mixed bunch, some with no experience and others with some experience. Our teacher was wonderful, patient, encouraging, and fun! I would denfinately recommend this course, in fact I shall be looking out for more, what a wonderful day!
