Established in 1998 by Dave Bourn, Sprout Ideas are an Improvisation group with a difference. They believe that everybody has the ability to be creative hidden within them and that this ability just needs the correct and appropriate channels to be drawn out! Their theory is based around the fact that everyone improvises at some during the day, and this just needs to be channelled onto a stage environment. The team at Sprout Ideas have not all come from a drama background, which simply goes to show their method works! Sprout Ideas can be found on both Facebook and Twitter social networks for more information about booking, photos and videos of their performances. They have worked with a number of large companies, including Tesco. Sprout Ideas are available to entertain at both private and corporate events. They offer a range of improvised performances including musicals, plays, scenes and “fishbowl” events where audience suggestions are put into a bowl and selected at random. Sprout Ideas also run workshops which can develop the improvisation skill in anyone, whether they are a total novice or an experienced actor. The courses are run as a fun activity and therefore have a very informal atmosphere designed to put visitors at ease and teach them the skills in an interactive and challenging way. They also offer corporate sessions, which can develop confidence, increase creative thought and improve communication amongst workers. All of the workshops are hands-on and very practical.
