Stratton Cycles in Wandsworth specialise in servicing and maintaining bikes as well as selling brand new bikes and accessories. They have new bikes in stock or can build a bike to the customer's own design specifications. Brands including Ridgeback, Trek, Dawes and Genesis are typically available although they can get in most brands if they do not have what the customer wants in stock. The shop also sells child seats, helmets, lights and locks. Stratton cycles stock an extensive selection of tools and can advise on what is needed. The shop was founded in the 1920s by Claude Butler and the front of the shop has not changed much, although of course the bikes have changed and developed over the years. Stratton Cycles also offer the cycle to work scheme which provides the opportunity to get tax free bikes from work. An employer would need to have signed up for the scheme. The first step would be to get a quote for the chosen bike and then one would need to obtain a voucher from an employer, which the team at Stratton cycles would then fill out in store. A free service would then be included in 4-6 weeks time. The shop services road bikes, mountain bikes, hybrids and vintage style bikes and can respray them to their original paint job. Stratton Cycles also sell spare parts if the customer wants to restore their bike on their own and stock a wide range of tools.
