My son had a great time and really enjoyed the ride in the motorboat.

The second "hour" of the taster session was actually only half-hour; the remainder of the time allocated to a sales pitch for future bookings, which detracted from the experience. Otherwise very good.

for the kayaking course, some of us have done it already so would be nice to have more freedom. Also, would be nice not to have to do it since we thought we could only experiment with sailing to see if we liked it.

In my view the instruction given was completely insufficient and apart from issue of obligatory buoyancy aids, there was no risk assessment or health and safety instructions. Another lady on the course gave up after seeing my partner and I capsize twice and decided to leave before she too ended up in the water. I'm sure she has given you her own feedback. The 2 young boys on the course seemed fine - but the dinghies seemed unsuitable for inexperienced adults as they tipped up so easily. Having sailed as a teenager myself many years ago, I think a taster session like this is not viable for adults. I would think the instructor needs to be in the boat with the inexperienced participant, taking charge, and letting them have a go when they feel ready to. We were very disappointed.

With regard to the Sailing lesson, not enough time was allowed for a proper explanation of how the sailing boat and its parts work. The result was that for absolute beginners the whole session felt rushed and was not enjoyable.
