Reinvent old clothes or learn to make cushions, bags and other items using machine and hand embroidery techniques
What You'll Get
Serial stitchers and embroiders can further their needle skills during a two-hour workshop (usually £45). Experienced embroiderer Laura Lees will pass on her expertise, including freehand machine embroidery, surface textiles and hand stitching techniques. All equipment is provided to make items such as wall panels, bags or cushions, or customers can bring in an old garment to spruce up.
Behind The Mighty Stitch is master embroiderer Laura Lees. Laura followed up a tapestry degree at Duncan of Jordanstone in Dundee with a career creating pieces for fashion collections and her own label. A modern approach to arts and crafts is displayed in her embroidery tuition workshops, which have an emphasis on hands-on learning.
