Afternoon Tea... My friend and I arrived slightly early but was shown to our table straight away in the Orangery. We were offered a lovely selection of teas. I don't drink tea or coffee so I asked if I could have a hot chocolate, initially I was told I may have to wait about 5 mins whilst the machine was cleansed. Unfortunately the lovely waitress then returned and said there was no hot chocolate available but I could choose another drink. I asked for fresh orange juice and was promptly served with a glass of fresh orange juice. The food included finger sandwiches of ham, egg and water cress and a cheese variety with a curry type dressing. I had mentioned on booking that I didn't eat fish. All of the sandwiches were freshly made . The desert section included mini servings of Victoria sponge, a mini chocolate tartlet, lemon tartlet, chocolate brownie, a macaroon and a lovely mini glass filled with Eton mess. A further serving arrived with mini warmed scones , jam and cream. We were offered further top ups of our drinks. The staff were friendly and helpful and we were not made to feel rushed .On the booking info it stated weekdays only but on booking a weekend slot was also available which made it easier for us as we both work in the week and we travelled approx a hour to the location. All in all a pleasant enjoyable experience which was well worth the money and we would return for sure with another groupon deal.

The staff were really welcoming, friendly but also efficient. We were booked in for afternoon tea, we couldn't fault the selection of teas, sandwiches or cakes. It was so pleasant not to have every variety of cake smothered in cream (either fresh or aerosol cream). Would strongly recommended so much so going to try Sunday lunch.
