Located just off the A6 at Barton-le-Clay, this coffee shop serves up a variety of cafe food including cakes, sandwiches and a selection of tea and coffee. The mill house cafe is located within the compound of a 250-year-old overshot mill, making it one of the only remaining mills of this type in the country. It was a working mill until the 70s and was later redeveloped into a restaurant and hotel and is now called the Olde Watermill Shopping Village.
We had a lovely afternoon tea. The sandwiches were very tasty and the scones were so light and fresh and warm lovely with jam and cream. The rest of the cakes were delicious too. The staff were friendly and very attentive. Highly recommended.

difficult to find. Up a steep slope or use the chair lift
Not really enough for 2 people and scones rather stale! Only 2 fillings in sandwiches but it was very cheap so probably can’t complain too much. Staff very polite and nice seating area.
Lovely friendly staff, gorgeous cakes, would recommend!
