Voted the most inspiring by Museum and Heritage Professionals in 2014, Powell-Cotton Museum and Quex Gardens offer a unique insight into the past. The exhibition itself features an extraordinary collection of natural history, ethnography as well as decorative arts. The gardens at Quex date back to 15th century. Heavily remodeled throughout later centuries, they contain a great many specimen trees and shrubs. The so-called Quex House was home to the Quekes family until 1777, when it was bought by the ancestor of Percy Powell-Cotton.
