The Sunday carvery is so good & very reasonably priced. The meats are very tender & locally sourced & a really good selection of vegetables. The service is good & very friendly too!

My wife and I are split on this one. Firstly there was nowhere to park except outside on the narrow village street. Inside we found the place a bit dowdy and un-cared for in that the old tables were worn (character?) and there was dust and debris on the seats behind the cushions and under the bench seat. The restaurant area at the back of the building was very "50's" in style, furniture and decor looked old but not in a designer-way and tables were placed in regimented rows. Our Sunday roast was a totally satisfactory help-yourself carvery which was OK but lacked style. By contrast the dessert crumble came from the kitchen on a fancy plate in ramekins with a squiggle of red sauce for effect. Nice touch. In short, we ate dinner and left soon after. Unlikely to return.
