It would have been nice to have had all the treatments that we paid for and recieve pictures from the photoshoot but this didnt happen. They refused to give us photos and wanted us to £180 when the groupon stated we would recieve 3 10x8 print outs. We only received 2 out of 5 treatments also! And it took weeks of being in hold to make an appointment!

it would be much better if you could fetch the pictures home on the day instead of having to wait for over a week for a link and then having to wait again for them to be posted out

We didnt get a free manicure or facial (apparently this was a print error by 'groupon'). We had to ask for our drinks (that should've come as part of the package), we still havent had our 20 pound refunable deposit back and even after we booked our appointment (and paid the deposit by card!) they wanted to change our session time as they had 'double-booked" the slot and "full paying customers get priority". Not a great experience.

Had to wait 2 days for a call back to arrange an appointment, then the girl who cut my hair didn't cut my hair as requested and gave me half a fringe half way down my face! I had to go to another Hairdressers the day after to have them fix my fringe

I felt like the stylist really listened to me and took time to understand what I wanted. She was keen for me to have a positive experience and asked me all the time if I was happy with what she was doing. A really refreshing change compared to some hairdressers! I haven't had so many compliments for ages!

I booked the experience with no problem. On the day we arrived and were told they were short of staff and the staff did seem rushed, although they were friendly. We were asked which package we had booked and said the 'mother and daughter' package and gave them our voucher. We were offered a drink of bucks fizz and told we would have our make-up done, our hair styled and photos taken. It was like a conveyor belt with lots of people sitting around. Afterwards we were told that our photos would not be ready that day and they made an appointment for us the following evening at 5.30pm. Next day we turned up but the salon was closed. We telephoned the booking number and they said there had been a problem and they had been trying to contact everyone with an appointment that day. They had not tried to contact me as there were no messages on either or the numbers I gave them. I asked them to telephone me when the salon reopened. They did not. A couple of weeks later I telephoned to ask what was happening and they said that they had had some problems and had decided to offer the cd containing all the photos for £99 and that they could post it out. I replied that obviously I was not willing to pay any money for photographs I had not seen and they agreed I could come in to view the photos. However, they gave me very limited options about when I could go in and I had to go in without my mum as she could not make it. In the meantime, my mum had telephoned me to say that she had re-read the voucher and we should have had - 'makeover with file and polish, facial cleanse and hair styling'. In fact we did not receive the facial cleanse or file and polish. When I went back to view the photos they did not know we were coming and initially could not find the photos. I mentioned that we had not received the facial and file and polish and they said they had lots of offers and could not be expected to remember exactly what was involved in each. I think this is not acceptable as we were specifically asked which package when we arrived at the venue. Our photos were not great, I think because they were rushed. I have had photos taken under similar circumstances in the past and much more time and care was taken, giving a better result. However, we were told we could choose 4 for free. Then we were told that if we wanted the photo book promised as part of the offer we had to pay £4 postage & packing. I pointed out that the original groupon did not state that a postage & packing charge was applicable and the implication was that everything listed in the terms was included in the £9 paid. They said there was nothing they could do except give us a disc with the 4 photos on for free, which we accepted. I was disappointed for a number of reasons. 1. We were not provided with what was described in the groupon that I bought. 2. Although staff were very friendly, they were clearly under pressure to work through an increasing queue of people. 3. There was no communication from the booking office regarding the temporary closure of the salon. 4. I think that any postage element attached to the groupon should be clearly stated in the original terms - my mum was expecting a photobook and she did not get one. Instead I had to take the disc to Boots and printout her photos. I know how much these things generally cost and I feel that Colour Unique were using Groupon to get as many customers through the door as possible so that they could then try to pressure them into buying more of the photographs. My mum and I enjoyed spending the afternoon together but we did not really enjoy being rushed through this process. This is not the sort of 'deal' I expect Groupon to support. Sorry.

Did not enjoy the experience, felt a bit like a cattle market. The staff appeared inexprienced.
