From Our Editors
Neighbouring Leazes Park and many of the Newcastle University facilities, Levant Toon is a modern restaurant bringing traditional Eastern Mediterranean flavours to the city. Levant describes a region combining cuisines and customs of Lebanon, Turkey and Greece, among others. Customers have a rich selection of dishes to choose from, whether they are eating in the venue, or opting for a delivery or takeaway. If enjoying meals in the dining room, patrons can take a pick of traditional seating, or plush or leather booths. When the weather allows, outdoor seating is also available.
The Place was empty, the staff did not seem to care. They give us the wrong mains which were not nice but we were full off the 7 starters we had to share between us which tasted great
Excellent food and very friendly servers. The freshly made bread is delicious! Don't eat anything before coming here, the portions are very generous - you won't be hungry when you leave!
Food is lovely.
There is parking around the back of the restaurant.
Food is generally good, and really interesting. BUT service is poor with only one waitress (Lithuanian) and the chef when we visited. The place has great potential but has rapidly lost much of this.
Went on a Sunday afternoon. The food was excellent - when it arrived. It took around 45 mins for starters to arrive.
