Staff just looked at us when we walked in/as if I had walked into the wrong place/were not welcoming at all. Staff member was dressed in clothes/as if he was relaxing at home/tatty tracksuit bottoms and t-shirt. The staff did not ask how we wanted the burger cooked or if it was ok to put parprika type seasoning all over the chips/fries. Some people have allergies, this should be asked. The meat of the actual burger was of a poorer quality than I expected for a £16.95 meal to be honest. The burger would have been a lot better if it was cooked as two separate patties/burgers so it could be cooked better/seasoned better and look more appealing. I worked in the catering trade for ten years. I do not make comments/give feedback just to be negative. I was disappointed as I had paid for treat for me and my partner/to have a bit of a laugh too. I was disappointed to be honest folks

Not a place normally to go for food right next to the pool table, just pub food in main bar area. Chips had hair in steaks where tough no matter which way they had been ordered. Medium rare, medium to well or even well done. The different sauces ordered where all the same so you could not distinguish between a Diane or a peppercorn. So not really a memorable experience

Meat was tough dry and tasteless. Very little salad. The chunky chips were unattractive, seemed an odd assortment and unappealing in colour. They were jammed into a greasy tin. The plate did not match the picture on Groupon. The staff were very nice. Furniture shabby. Beer good.
