The staff were absolutely excellent. The view from the bar and restaurant was stunning - unfortunately the weather let us down that weekend.

I have dined in the restaurant with family and friends and on a staff night out and enjoyed good meals but I wouldn't £60 for the afternoon tea as I think it was overpriced.

An option of cream or butter with scones would be preferable.

Scones for high tea are very tasty, but would prefer them smaller in size, as the large scones are so filling it isn't possible to be able to taste the other lovely choices, that are also available.

Booking was for afternoon tea. Sandwiches and scones were not fresh and overall experience very poor. Package was advertised as £15 reduced from £30. Not worth £15 Major dissapointment and could never recommend the Balmoral to anyone.

The quality of the afternoon tea was poor in terms of food and presentation, the only good points was the service which was excellent. If I had been paying £15 per person without the groupon offer, I would have complained. The centre of my scone was uncooked, it was colossal in size, there was no cream, sandwiches were average and lacked the usual sophistication expected for afternoon tea, the fruit loaf presence was an enigma and the chocolate brownie/macaroon sweet treats were bland - we were also disappointed with the absence of doilies.
