I was very concerned that we weren't asked to fill in any forms detailing any possible medical issues, our G.P. details, emergency contact details, our contact details and our riding ability. This had been done at every other riding school, as well as a chat about our abilities. I also felt that it was not safe to take my daughter on the road for her first ever time, without someone leading her, or at least another experienced rider to keep close to her and assist if necessary. I don't think it is appropriate to smoke whilst leading a hack and finally, the bridle of the pony I was riding was very dirty and the hats were very musty smelling and had mould spots in most.
