What a fab place. I took my Mum (78) and Dad (85), mum in particular, very interested in motor cycles, having had a James in her day. Father and Son set-up, both very welcoming. Father showed us around a few of the bikes of particular interest, then left us to enjoy and take in everything, it was like an Aladdins motor cycle cave. Father extremely knowledgeable, and very proud (and so he should be) of their collection, we had a lovely natter re bikes, and speedway at Norwich, where he showed us the gates that were once at the speedway track. It was lovely to think that all those years ago Mum and Dad walked through those to watch the Norwich Stars. Actually saw a James motorcycle, and one that mum always wanted, a Triumph tiger cub, so she was chuffed. A very big THANKYOU.

What You'll Get

The Museum

Fans of two-wheeled wonders can take a nostalgic ride through the past with a visit to The Norfolk Motorcycle Museum, gaining an insight into the industry’s history. The North Walsham venue houses an interesting collection of over 80 mopeds, scooters and motorcycles ranging from 1920 through to 1975 and a guide will be on hand to provide any information on the museums exhibits. The list of models is also highly varied, with wartime efforts from British marque AJS; scooters courtesy of super-popular Italian manufacturer, Vespa; and two Triumph Thunderbirds, made famous as Marlon Brando’s steed in landmark motorcycle rebel movie, The Wild One. With an ongoing policy of restoration and repair, the collection is ever expanding, and the staff also takes on private restoration and repair work.

Choose from the following options for museum entry:

  • £3 for one person

  • £5 for two people

  • £8 for family of two adults and up to three children
