Overlooking the Ceiriog Valley, The Mulberry Inn beckons with traditional accommodation in a scenic countryside location, an hour’s drive away from Snowdonia National Park. Visitors may try their hand on the nearby golf course, or choose to feast their eyes on the medieval Chirk Castle and its famous gardens, dating back to the early 14th century. Guests are invited to simply decorated rooms fitted with pocket-sprung beds, duck down duvets, plump pillows, hospitality trays, mini-bars, as well as robes and slippers to snuggle up in. The Garden Room Restaurant makes use of seasonal ingredients provided by local suppliers, and dishes up Welsh plates in the form of starters, mains and desserts. Keeping 18th century features though, The Pheasant Bar offers a wide selection of real ales, ciders or wines, and go hand in hand with a cluster of light snacks that can be savoured indoors or outdoors on the terrace.
