With foliage sneaking up its traditional brickwork exterior, the Traquair Arms Hotel & Cottages peeps out over the Scottish Borders, awaiting intrepid trekkers and sleepy sightseers alike. Just a 14-minute walk from the hotel, travellers may visit St Ronan’s Wells Interpretation Centre which is housed in an historic spa and exhibits Innerleithen’s and St. Ronan’s Wells history. A host of 14 en suite rooms are classically furnished and come with tea and coffee making facilities. The on-site restaurant serves up traditional Scottish foods and Italian bites, seasoned with home-grown herbs and made using locally sourced ingredients. The bar serves up a warming dram of whisky to sup by the open fire, and locally brewed Traquair Bear Ale to enjoy in the beer garden when the sun comes out to play.
