Cakes were beautifully made. Not obvious you were in Barbican Tea Cosy - no signage to cafe front. Lacked some warm atmosphere

Felt very uncomfortable having the owner sit opposite us while we were talking & eating. Also had a man from the bookshop next door sat on a chair next to us when he had no customers. Food was disappointing, not what we were expecting. Poor selection of sandwiches, shop bought angel cake & carrot cake. Not to the standard we have had elsewhere. Also was not connected to say they were closing down before our voucher expired & they are also still advertising the deal on groupon, yet they close down next Saturday.

I bought this for a friends birthday and I am very disappointed as she did not enjoy at all.The finger sandwiches were very thin white bread and the score was not fresh with barely enough cream or jam.

It's okay but have had much better elsewhere. You get what you pay for especially as you have to pay for extra tea or coffee.

Awful location! Poor quality food and minimal size. Disappointment and not worth the money!

The Barbican tea cosy is in pleasant surroundings, but even with a groupon voucher is way way over priced for what you get!

The table was set nice and food very good. Disappointed with the musty smell of the place , can only put it down to all the old books in the surrounding area. Wouldn't go there again.
