From Our Editors

Bella Italia prides itself on sourcing authentic Italian ingredients for their traditional cuisine. They import pasta from the Gaetarelli family near Lake Garda, tomato sauce from the Emilia-Romagna region in northern Italy, and cured meats from the Fontana family. Established in 1991, Bella Italia boasts eateries across the length and breadth of England, including the cities of London, Manchester, Leeds and Oxford. Their menu features a wide range of pizzas, pastas and Italian classics, with an array of wines available to pair with any dish. The restaurants' interiors are styled in a quirky Mediterranean design, with many featuring Vespas and cosy booths.

What a brilliant evening! Due to the restaurant being extremely busy we were asked if we would mind waiting - which we did not mind at all. The staff kept popping over to apologies for the wait which, quite frankly didn’t bother us at all. We enjoyed a very nice glass of wine whilst waiting for a table and even let a family with children take the table we were supposed to have. We will return!

Amazing gin afternoon tea, each element was delicious. Only think that we think could be improved is having 2 of each item rather than having to cut each one in half to share.

Food quality was poor, eggs broken and overcooked, content of breakfast nothing like I have had in the past.

It was around 5pm when we arrived & ordered, I went for the bbq chicken. The waitress didn't mention at the time and then, just before bringing it, told me they were out of bbq sauce - a bit of a problem as a key ingredient for a bbq ßauce based item. Anyway I chose balsamic & olive oil instead and it was lovely - should be an option in an Italian themed restaurant. Overall a nice meal.
