I booked the afternoon tea with prosecco. I used the groupon booking system, but when I arrived they had no record of my booking. We were informed after about five minutes that we could have the afternoon tea. We sat down, and the barman brought over two cups of tea, we weren't offered coffee or different types of tea. We were then informed that there was no Prosecco!!! I ended up with an awful, stale glass of echo falls, my friend with a vodka and coke. The bread on the sandwiches was somehow wet and stale at the same time. The cheesecake was wet and melted onto the plate, the rest of the cakes weren't any more impressive. The scones were ok but were bland, stodgy and clear bought in. All in all incredibly dissapointing. My first time to the Grapes, and if they can get an afternoon tea so wrong, I won't be returning for anything else.

Very disappointing experience. Although the service was reasonably friendly, the afternoon tea consisted of clearly shop bought scones and cakes which were tiny. Very disappointing portion sizes. Sandwiches only cheese and ham. Atmosphere was very pub-like, which might appeal to some but didn't work for us. Overall this was absolutely not worth the money we spent on the afternoon tea, even with the discount.

Great breakfast for the price you pay on groupon. Friendly staff and unusual setting in an old church.
