Famous for their modern take on Mexican food, Chiquito has been serving it up in a lively setting for over 25 years. Staff aim to help navigate the menu, which captures the essence of Latin cuisine with authentic dishes from both sides of the border. Catering in equal measure to those who like it mild and wild, the eatery offers crowd-pleasing specialities like sizzling fajitas, stacked burgers, bursting burritos and tender, fall-off-the-bone ribs. The bar hosts a variety of thirst-quenching options, including their margaritas and classic cocktails, and an extensive selection of soft drinks.
Food was extremely bland, barely any flavour and the burrito was almost exclusively rice. Despite having paid for a Groupon deal, I felt it was poor value for money. Wouldn’t go back.
Food was a let down, the waitress who served us was lovely
Unfortunately when we visited this restaurant (on a Monday night 23rd July) it was very busy and there was very few staff on. It was a shame for them because they were all trying hard, in particular the Manager (Andy?) but many people complained or walked out. Some
also sent their food back.
We had to wait a while for a table as we hadn't thought it would be busy on a Monday so hadn't booked and we waited a long time for our food.
We felt sorry for the staff as they were clearly under pressure but have to say that the Manager is a real asset to the place, we witnessed him dealing with numerous difficult and varied situations but he was a total professional, polite, friendly and efficient.
