From Our Editors

First opened in Soho in 1926, Patisserie Valerie follows artisan baking traditions brought to London by Belgian-born Madam Valerie whose mission was to introduce continental patisserie to the English. Now boasting over 120 multiple venues nationwide, the company adorns its cafes with a 1950s-inspired decor, and serves up an array of freshly-made cakes, craft patisseries, breakfasts, lunches, coffees and loose-leaf teas. Their specialties include meticulously crafted croissants and viennoiseries, as well as homemade Italian-style gelato.

Sandwiches www wafer thin, poor selection of c makes to say they have really nice ones in window. Tasted as though they had been taken out of freezer. Set and soggy. Not as good as breakfast. Would not have another afternoon tea. Teapot only big enough for one person. Miserable.

The staff were lovely, friendly and personable the afternoon tea was delicious After being shown what we was on the afternoon tea menu we were asked if we were ok with everything if not they could change the sandwiches to suit us, we were also asked if we had any allergies etc. The choice on the menu was really good and the cakes were delicious we gave been before and would definately go again

Patisserie Valerie restaurants are usually very nice places to dine. The one in the Intu Trafford Centre wasn't, it was like having afternoon tea in a furniture shop, I was staring at the backs of wardrobes. The staff were lovely and friendly, the food was excellent, but the experience lacked ambiance. Also my wife said the toilets were a disgrace

I love Patisserie Valerie for lunch and cakes so I bought the afternoon tea for two. I can't begin to explain how disappointing it was. The sandwiches were tiny and tasteless and the cakes were again tiny, hardly enough for one person let alone two. Definitely not worth the money I paid for it.

dont be shy in asking for other drinks as this afternoon tea is not limited to just tea and filter coffee.Tell them of any change preferences to the sandwiches and cakes.
