From Our Editors

First opened in Soho in 1926, Patisserie Valerie follows artisan baking traditions brought to London by Belgian born Madam Valerie whose mission was to introduce continental patisserie to the English. Now boasting over 120 multiple venues nationwide, the unique cafe-atmosphere features a 1950s' decor and serves up an array of freshly made quality cakes, craft patisseries, breakfasts, lunches, coffees and loose leaf teas. Their specialties are artisan-baked croissants and viennoiseries, as well as home made Italian-style gelato ice-cream.

Easy to redeem the voucher. No need to book in advance. But as there were 9 of us we decided it would be best to let them know we were coming. We went to the Patisserie Valerie in Barton Square, Trafford Centre. The table was nicely laid out ready for us and The staff were very pleasant and helpful. There was a good selection of sandwiches and cakes and a choice of either tea or coffee. And you could have as many drinks refills as you wanted. We had a very pleasant afternoon and I would definitely recommend Patisserie.

We had a lovely afternoon tea which I received for my birthday. It was the 'festive' tea being quite close to christmas. The service was excellent and all the staff were friendly and polite. It seemed to me that they actually enjoyed working there ! We had sandwiches, warm scones with plenty of jam and cream, and lots of cakes. We could have refills of tea or coffee which we needed as the food was rather filling and we didn't eat for the rest of the day. We also got 6 mince pies in a box to take home and these are the nicest mince pies ever. Would recommend.
