From Our Editors

First opened in Soho in 1926, Patisserie Valerie follows artisan baking traditions brought to London by Belgian-born Madam Valerie whose mission was to introduce continental patisserie to the English. Now boasting over 120 multiple venues nationwide, the company adorns its cafes with a 1950s-inspired decor and serves up an array of freshly-made cakes, craft patisseries, breakfasts, lunches, coffees and loose leaf teas. Their specialties include meticulously crafted croissants and viennoiseries, as well as homemade Italian-style gelato ice cream.

Staff are friendly and polite. The afternoon tea is very good value and would recommend this to everyone. I always book and when booking the staff always ask if there are any dietary requirements. Keep up the good work.

Great place for afternoon tea, quality of the food was lovely. However, there is not enough staff, and I had to constantly ask for more tea (the offer did say unlimited drinks) which I found annoying as it was a distraction.

It says on the voucher no need to book but I would recommend doing this as we got turned away the first time as they said there wasn't any afternoon tea left and this was at 1.30pm on a Monday

We went to the Trafford centre shop, the service was excellent and we were served and had our meal quickly. We went on a Saturday and there was plenty of seating. The food was delicious, we even purchased some cakes to take home. The shop was quite a walk but it was worth it. It
