Great exhibitions of equipment and vehicles from WWII. The re-enactments were superb and the feeling of the war period was very clear. I personally would have liked to see more about the war at home and how the general populace survived during this terrible time. The tea room, dancing and music put things into the right mood. The cookery demonstrations were a sad let down - the demonstrator did not project her voice and at the end told us that she had not had time to put the recipes onto the web but she would get them done over the following weekend. This showed a lack of preparation on her part and also a lack of consideration for some of the elderly people who do not always have the internet. There was only a small number of chairs in the tent and the demonstrator did say that after this event she would make sure that there were more chairs but until she can project her voice it would be a waste of effort. Only the front row of chairs could hear he when she spoke. The lady talking with her about the war rationing was sad to say not very well versed in the topic and repeated herself with her facts as though to pad her information out. I know lots more by listening to my music then who is approx the same age and from my research. Much more information and a separate area for this talk to take place. I wanted to see more about the home front war and this was very sadly lacking. Perhaps an area could be set aside purely for this in future. The home guard with their inadequate weapons could march past, the Sewing area could show more than just a sewing machine with a lady sitting there, the man sharpening tools responded to the visitors and showed his craft well. Would it be possible to have tented areas showing videos of some of the home events as lots of the younger visitors would learn that the war was not just soldiers fighting. This showed the soldiers war but again a video area could show the war at sea and the war in the air. All in all this was really a half day event but I would love to see it as a filling full day event and would pay more for the s willingly. After all I have said I did enjoy my day

I don't know about Bramshill Stud Ltd but Mapledurham at war was really good and well organised. Top marks to all the reenactors and those on the various pitches!

Really enjoyed Mapledurham at War only criticism was all toilets ran out of toilet paper and all the bins were full and everflowing, neither of which were dealt with despite attempting to alert someone it needed atten

A great day out. Exciting re-enactments, pleanty of stalls, lots of food options and many, many volunteers who talked confidently about the event.
