Nestled within the picturesque village of Alfriston, Chestnuts offers an array of accommodation and dining options. Breakfasts and lunches are on offer alongside home-baked scones and cakes, with a wide range of hot and cold drinks also available. The team also prepare packed meals, which the guests can take with them and enjoy during the exploration of East Sussex countryside.
Fabulous setting and food was lovely. Excellent hosts and will definitely visit again.
Lovely tea here, really fresh and wonderful cakes. Parking in Alfriston is very scarce though so be prepared and allow more time to get there.
Wonderful afternoon tea and an amazing array of delicious sandwiches and cakes for gluten free, dairy free etc. Will be going back again very soon.
The lady who served us our tea was very nice and helpful, she had made the beautiful scones that we had to eat.
The sandwiches were fresh and the pear, parsnip and ginger cake was moist and delicious.
if you want something a little more traditional this is the place for you.
we liked the food so much that we have booked for one of their Sunday roast at the beginning of next month, I would recommend this place if you are in the area

Tasty sandwiches, scones and homemade cake. Down to earth tearooms. Cosy and intimate. Very friendly owners. Games on tables to entertain yourselves. Perfect for us.

Friendly service. Excellent sandwiches which you could choose. Lovely hot coffee for me and OH had Earl Grey tea served in a teapot. Choice of cake and absolutely delicious scones. What more could you want?
