From Our Editors

Nestled within a Grade I listed coaching inn, The Lion Hotel aims to uphold the British hospitality traditions by providing a wide range of services that combine the 16th-century architecture and modern comfort. Weary travellers can unwind in the hotel's 59 bedrooms, and all visitors can taste traditional British cuisine served at The Hayward Restaurant. The on-site Oak Bar makes for a less formal dining opportunity, serving up light lunches, teas and homemade cakes. The hotel welcomes private functions of all kinds, including weddings and business meetings. Guests can access complimentary Wi-Fi available in the bar, lounge areas and conference rooms.

This was our 3rd visit to The Lion Hotel and the food & service was excellent on each occasion . There were 8 in our party on our latest visit & we all would like to return to enjoy another experience. This is a super deal & well done The Lion Hotel. The intention was to give this a full 4/5 * but I couldn't get it to register.

Amazing food, really great quality and so delicious! Staff were really friendly and attentive. The only thing I noticed is the decor is a little dated and could do with a spruce up.
