On booking the afternoon tea I requested no cheese sandwiches !! Fortunately my friend didn't mind cheese and ate them. It would have been nice if my request had been listened to in the first place. So initially I felt let down. Luckily the rest of the meal was very good and we enjoyed it. Thank you.

Couldn’t fault the food it was nice & plentiful however the service wasn’t great at no fault of the waitress. The lady was the only one in duty & she was expected to serve the afternoon tea guests & cover the whole bar area on her own. She was as attentive as she could be under the circumstances but there was a long wait if we needed anything. It got to the stage where I just got up and helped myself to more crockery & cutlery & we were clearing away our own dishes! I wouldn’t say it’s the most traditional afternoon tea (served on platters) but it was good value.
