From Our Editors

Formed in 1847 following the purchase of the house where the author of Hamlet, Macbeth, and Romeo and Juliet was born, the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust is devoted to preserving the playwright's legacy and celebrating all things Shakespearean. Aside from the house where Shakespeare spent his youth, visitors can also see his mother's farm, his wife Anne Hathaway's cottage, and the house where his daughter lived with her husband. The organisation's vaults contain over a million documents, 55,000 books and 12,000 museum objects, as well as the Royal Shakespeare Company’s archive of theatre records. The Trust is the headquarters of International Shakespeare Association, devoted to spreading knowledge about the writer's work throughout the world, and offers formal and informal education programmes.

I am really impressed that the child price is up to 17, my daughter is still at school so not earning money and so often I still have to pay adult prices for her. We had a lovely day visiting Stratford and as the pass is valid for a year we hope to make many more visits.

Really enjoyed Mary Ardens farm. We did all five in one day which was a bit hectic. But I found that because we can visit as many times as we want for a year it was really excellent value for money. Would recomend
