This Sunderland-based bar boasts an ale farm theme, complete with the barn doors and a logo reproduced on its walls by spray painter Frank Styles. The Tipsy Cow offers an array of burgers, grills and sandwiches, as well as a selection of gins, rums and ales. Every Saturday they also host a night of live acoustic music.
Was better with 2 drinks each
This is a lovely place with great value food on offer right in the heart of Sunderland. You would need a good appetite as the portions are large, we have only had the Tipsy cow burgers (beef one and the chicken one) but would love to try other things on their menu in the future.
Tipsy cow burger was amazing unreal
Fantastic value and the food was great. The venue is a public house which we weren't really expecting. The staff had to serve drinks at the bar and do food and afternoon tea so at times the service could have been better.
Staff were very accommodating and friendly
service was great, server let us know pretty quickly that we had to go to the bar to order.
Portions were large and of high quality.
Great value for money and would definitely recommend
My reason for rating The Tipsy Cow only 2 stars was for the 45 minute wait and for the not so pleasant barmaid that served us. The food was average but with the whole experience we'll not be going back!!
Lovely pub, great food. Very accommodating....we didn't book and it wasn't a problem to seat us. The Groupon deal was fantastic value. Would definitely go back.
Service was good. Didn't wait to long for our meal and when it came it was huge. There was far to much for me (chicken burger). I tend to pass quite a bit of mine to my hubby who had the farmyard burger and none of us could finish our meals. Definitely worth the money.
The service was terrible, I would go as far to say rude. Don't go by the pictures on groupon or Facebook as we were very disappointed by what we actually received. Such a shame, was really looking forward to it.
