First established in Soho in 1926, Patisserie Valerie follows artisanal baking traditions brought to London by Belgian-born Madam Valerie, whose mission was to introduce continental patisserie to the English. Now boasting over 120 venues nationwide, the company adorns its cafes with the 1950s-inspired decor and serves up an array of freshly-made cakes, craft pastries, breakfasts, lunches, coffees and loose-leaf teas. Their specialities include meticulously-crafted croissants and viennoiseries, as well as homemade Italian-style gelato.
We went to Resorts World the Afternoon tea was very good it was a shame that it was spoilt by a waitress who when bringing the menu over to us I presented her with the Groupon voucher didn't say a word just took the voucher off us. Whilst having the tea she never came and asked if everything was ok.
Not enough savoury and whatever savoury was provided it was so thin. Just not great. Quality was good though.
We had an afternoon tea for my birthday. Waiters were very attentive and replenished our tea several times while we were there. There were an assortment of finger sandwiches, warm quiche tarts, dainty cakes and scones with jam and cream. What more could you wish for!
