For the past 30 years, the team at Toby Carvery have been on a mission to bring British roast dinners nationwide. All meat is sourced from UK grass-fed or free-range farms that meet Red Tractor standards. Every day, each Toby Carvery restaurant lays on a family-sized feast. Tender, slow-cooked meats, eight lots of freshly-prepared veggies, including crispy, ruffled roasties, and freshly-made Yorkshires served crisp, fluffy and piping-hot. Vegetarian and vegan options are on the menu for those who leave meat off their plates, and a wide range of drinks can be paired with the dishes for a boosted indulgence. A kids menu and all-you-can-eat breakfasts are also available.
The waitress had no idea how to process the printed voucher that I gave her. I did not have it on my phone. She tried to insist we owed her the £14.99 value of the voucher. Another waitress couldn't help so the barman checked it and said all we owed was £1 for the soda and lime drinks. This delayed us in leaving the restaurant considerably and caused us considerable embarrassment as we had to resort to arguing that we didn't have to pay.
Food area was a mess. Food was nothing special. Staff member who carved the meat doesn’t understand customer service. His manners towards an elderly lady in front of me was appalling (I had to stop myself from saying something.) Only good thing to say was the waiter, he knows how to serve and smile.
Be aware that the Groupon voucher only covers a limited choice of starter and dessert.
Fresh tasty food in pleasant pub. Staff always attentive and friendly. Good value for money.
Would be better if all pudding listed was on offer but all in all nice meal
