A day at Tropiquaria can include going on safari in the Tropical Hall, looking out for all of the species of African birds, or the rare Standing’s Day gecko, which roam freely around the hall. Outdoors, there are five and a half acres of grounds, which are home to many furrier creatures, including wallabies, meerkats and lemurs. Including a new princess and knights adventure play castle, the outdoor pirate ship play area and indoor castle play barn will likely have kids’ imaginations running wild, while parents can sample the offerings of the cafe. Visitors can learn about the zoo’s inhabitants at the keepers’ talks at feeding times, or get friendly with the Tropical Hall’s inhabitants during animal encounters which run throughout the day.
