The best afternoon tea that we have ever received. 1st class food and 1st class service. I would recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a delicious afternoon tea.

Despite being advised in advance, and again reminded when we arrived that one of the guests had a nut allergy, they served macarons which contain ground almonds and the ones served also included pistachio nuts. They advised on bring the food out that none of the items contained nuts so when we queried this they checked and came back apologising that the items did indeed contain nuts. We have since received an apology from the hotel and reassurance that steps have been taken to ensure this deoesnt happen again.

Afternoon tea for four, great value, good selection of generously filled sandwiches and lovely dessert items and good service served in a lovely stylish dining room.

The staff were attentive and friendly however we were put in a room with a conference buffet going on and the noise was horrendous completely ruined the ambience of the meal. There were plenty of tables elsewhere so I don’t know why we were put in that room.

Food was good but the poor service completely ruined that. We got given our food and cup of tea(even though I asked for coffee) and no one was to be seen after that. We didn’t get given our prosecco. I went around look for a member of staff and couldn’t find anyone. We waited for 35 minutes before just leaving.

A warm welcome by all. The chef was extremely pleasant and explained about the edible flowers served with the afternoon tea. I knocked a star off for lack of atmosphere due to us being the only people there. A nice afternoon out though In a lovely location.
