Stanwick Lakes is spread across 750 acres of the Northamptonshire countryside. Walking, cycling and horse riding trails run alongside the River Nene, and visitors can hire a boat to take to the water itself. Anglers can fish for a variety of species and birdwatchers can expect to sight ducks, geese, kestrels and other winged residents.
The adventure play area and discovery zone keep youngsters entertained, and the visitors' centre offers indoor activities for all ages. The outdoor theatre plays host to productions throughout the year and the sculpture trail is peppered with intriguing artworks. Cafe Solar serves meals and refreshments while those eager for al fresco dining can make the most of outdoor barbecue facilities. A programme of regular events includes fitness walks, craft workshops and farmers markets.
