From Our Editors

Founded by two sisters of Jamaican descent, this family-run restaurant sits pretty in Nottingham's Lace Market. The team serve up hearty Caribbean fare, incorporating generous portions of characteristic Caribbean ingredients such as plantain and ackee. Vegetarian and vegan options are also available, just as a host of cocktails and desserts. On selected dates, live music makes for an apt backdrop for friends' get-togethers and family reunions.

Fantastic again. Took 4 mates this time rather than her indoors, and they loved it.

Second time visiting... 1st amazing! This time really disappointed... Starter didn't arrive... Drinks in wrong glasses and poor amount... Mutton was a dish full of bones.... Service really slow. A shame and won't go back.

Polite friendly service - nice ambience despite the fact that it was very quiet the evening that we went. Enjoyed the food - would only recommend a little less salt. Will definitely go again

Great little gem!! Fab food very tasty and a good selection on the menu! Groupon made it a great deal but I’d have been happy to pay full price as the food was worth it! Relaxed atmosphere, pleasant staff definitely worth a visit!

Starters were nice. Mains were just average. Not really what I expected. Mutton curry was watery. I wouldn't go again. Not much atmosphere. Just one girl waitressing and you didnt see any other staff. Asked for milk but they didnt have any. Wasnt sure how they made the pina colada. Maybe pre made. Expensive for £10 if the cocktail was out of a bottle

We were in a group of eight people and had made a reservation for 6pm. We received a warm welcome and great service. The waiting staff were charming and attentive and the food was great. One of our party, a chef, declared that it was the best mutton curry that he had ever had! Needless to say, the background music was irie!!

The chicken came out cold. It was not freshly cooked and not cooked on the traditional jerk bbq drum as advertised in the advertisement photo. We also had a macaroni cheese as a side and again was not fresh, seems to be put in the microwave. Pasta was soggy. Definitely will not be returning.
