Resting on the outskirts of Cockermouth, a bustling town placed on the north-eastern edge of Lake District, Rose Cottage invites intrepid adventurers to explore this verdant region. Set at the junction of River Cocker and River Derwent, this market town houses is the birthplace of William Wordsworth, with a house dedicated to the writer’s memory, offering hands-on visits. The cottage invites guest to seven bedrooms provided with central heating, TVs, hospitality trays and en suite facilities. Mornings start off with a hearty breakfast, while in the evening, dinner is also served and a children menu is available for the little ones. For outdoor leisure, visitors may take advantage of two golf courses that may be found nearby, or enjoy other activities available in the area such as pony trekking, fishing or tennis.
