Everyone is so helpful and keen to answer any questions you may have about the birds. But the best part for us, is being able to handle most of the birds at the centre. Shadow one of the Golden Eagles is beautiful, and youl never forget handling him. Their displays are fantastic, and no matter how many times weve visited, we always learn something new. My partner bought me a Hawk walk for my birthday, definately value for money absolutely loved it. So much so, ive booked an Owl experience for my partners birthday. This centre is kept going by volunteers, who put their all into making everyone feel welcome and safe. Also has good facilities for younger children, very family friendly.

Having driven straight past the entrance, I would suggest some signage upon approach. The centre is within the grounds of Burn Hall which we hadn't realised from the address we were given via Groupon. The centre itself is a little rough round the edges but you can clearly tell that it is still a work in progress with things like a crazy golf course being constructed: the course is open to play on despite not being finished. We actually enjoyed it more because of the un-clinical finish - kids could be kids and play away the afternoon in the great open space, away from danger and in a great environment. The birds are beautiful and obviously well looked after. There are so many to observe and even handle with friendly and knowledgeable staff on hand to help and answer any questions. We were lucky enough to witness one of the live shows which do involve audience participation for those that want to join in. I believe the gentleman hosting these talks to be the centre owner: he is an absolute legend and the whole experience is a credit to him and his family/staff.
