Sitting down to a meal of North African flavours at Al-Farid, patrons can share a platter of meze comprising hummus, babaganoush and falafel. For the main course, diners may tuck into a choice of tagine – options include cinnamon-spiced meatballs in a tomato and coriander sauce with saffron rice; chicken with onion, lemon, ginger, coriander and root vegetables with couscous; and roasted peppers stuffed with cannellini beans, chickpeas and cheese served with couscous and tomato sauce or for the vegetarians there is a seven vegetable Tagine. A serving of pistachio baklava to share between two provides a sweet conclusion to the meal.

About Al-Farid

Al-Farid meze bar and restaurant serves authentic Moroccan meals in Exeter's Cathedral Yard. The eatery overlooks the city's gothic Basilica and features warm colours and plenty of North African trinkets. The menu encompasses traditional cuisine such as kofte, falafel and lamb tagine, and gives customers the choice of a la carte dining or meze sharing meals.
