About Ashmolean Rooftop Restaurant

The chefs at Ashmolean Rooftop Restaurant craft European cuisine with flashes of British and Welsh inspiration for their diverse menu. Locally-sourced ingredients form the basis of the dishes, which can be tucked into amidst an elegant, glass-fronted interior or on the roof terrace. Based on the top floor of the Ashmolean Museum, the eatery gives panoramic views of the spires of Oxford University. Serving fresh dishes created by innovative head chef Shamirah, the kitchen serves dinner Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings until 10pm. Meals can be paired with a glass or bottle of wine chosen from a wide-ranging menu, with German riesling sitting alongside chianti and rioja in the selection.
