About Avington Park
Dating back to the 10th century, Avington Park is a Grade I-listed privately owned stately home with parkland bordering the River Itchen. During a guided tour, visitors can take in Palladian architecture, traditional decor and period furnishings, and learn about the site's history from a knowledgeable guide. Visitors can stroll around the grounds and perhaps enjoy going to see St. Mary's Church, a Georgian church within the grounds and well worth a visit. Customers can then take afternoon tea in the Victorian conservatory and enjoy a cup of tea and a homemade scone with clotted cream and jam.
