A lovely treat. Elegant surroundings and lovely service. Afternoon tea itself was great. Groupon made this a good value gift, but not sure I’d stretch to pay the full price. Will go back and try their lunch or dinner menu. A nice addition to Worcester’s eateries

About Centenary Lounge

Inspired by Art Deco design from the 1930s, Centenary Lounge recaptures the look of bygone railway days, the Golden Age of Travel. The bistro restaurant serves all its food and drink on tableware replicated from the china used in the 1930's dining cars and refreshment rooms of the Great Western Railway. The ground floor café has been refurbished in the Art Deco-style, whilst a small area of Victorian tiles behind the bar has been restored, continuing to provide visitors with an authentic experience of what it was like in the bygone years of Britain’s railways. Go up the sweeping staircase, an architectural feature inspired by the grand style of the Queen Mary ocean liner, to the first-floor tearoom. Here, the Lounge honoured the building’s Georgian heritage, featuring the stunning original 1730s original wall panels and fireplace.
